Prof Loredana Padurean

Keynote Speaker, Author, Award Winning entrepreneur & Professor

Dr. Prof. Loredana Pădurean is a Professor of Innovation, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship at Northeastern University in Boston and an internationally recognized voice on leadership, education, innovation, and the future of work. With a career spanning Romania, Switzerland, India, Malaysia, and the United States, she brings a rare combination of global perspective, academic excellence, and public impact.

Originally from Transylvania, Romania, Loredana has built a career at the intersection of teaching, leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and human development. In 2023, she was recognized at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business for the innovative use of artificial intelligence in education, and in 2022, in Kuala Lumpur, she received the Distinguished Woman Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award. She was also awarded the prestigious Swiss National Science Foundation research fellowship twice.

For seven years, 2015 - 2022, Loredana was a founding team member of the Asia School of Business with MIT Sloan, where she helped build one of the region’s most ambitious graduate business schools. She also taught for more than a decade at MIT Sloan in advanced professional development and executive education programs. She is the author of The Job Is Easy, the People Are Not and is currently writing The Innovation Odyssey: Nail It, Scale It, Sail It, a new book on innovation co-authored with MIT Sloan Professor Charles Fine, to be published in September 2026.

A TEDx speaker with more than 350 speaking engagements worldwide, Loredana has spoken for organizations including TBWA, State Street, China Construction Bank, the European Commission, MITRE, Maybank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and BCP Peru. As a professor, author, and keynote speaker, she is known for her rare ability to combine intellectual depth with emotional truth. She speaks about leadership, innovation, AI, burnout, validation, generational change, and the hidden cost of performance with clarity, originality, and presence.
